- A few words about my business . . .
- My business is real estate. But it’s not really a business about houses and the closing process – it is a business about service to your dreams and your goals. When you sell your home in time for that job relocation, or you find a great investment with the right ROI - all because of the expertise and service I will provide - then my business is a success because it works for you.
A good real estate business is built on relationships and trust. If we are to work together for the long term, you have to know that I always have your goals at the top of my list, that I’m acting in your best interests, and that I’m spending my time working for you. To accomplish this, Chris Estes and I focus our efforts on providing in-depth service to individuals who come to us by referral. This keeps our focus on current clients rather than spending time with advertising, cold calling, and a myriad of other processes to grow the business. For that reason I would ask you, as I would ask all my clients, to refer me to others you respect for help with their real estate needs. I can promise you that I will never be too busy to help anyone you refer to me.
Success in real estate as in all business depends on the rapid and almost constant flow of good information. I will over-communicate with you. Using email, newsletters, websites, and the good old telephone, I’ll keep you up to date on what is happening with your specific home purchase, your investment property, or changes in the market in general. You have decisions to make and it’s my job is to get you the information you need to make good ones.
My goal is to work with you as a long term client. That will happen only if you value my objectivity, my competence, and my desire to always work toward your long term goals as well as taking care of your short term need to buy or sell a property.
- The Role I play and the Value I deliver . . .
- Delivering the service necessary to meet your real estate goals requires that I wear different hats from time to time.
First, I need to be your advisor. Unless you are being driven by an immediate need to buy or sell a property, we have some thinking and talking to do. You have decisions to make and I’ll supply you the information, advice, and experience to help you do your best. My first job as your advisor is to listen to your dreams, your wants, and your needs – and develop a plan of action to get you there. Secondly, you need information. To all of my clients, I provide a monthly newsletter that supplies current market statistics on the Puget Sound area and identifies trends and emerging opportunities. I can customize this information in any way you need to serve your immediate or long term goals. The Group Estes Services website maintains current and historical data on many Puget Sound markets that you will find invaluable. As we work together, I’ll do in-depth pricing and trends analysis on specific neighborhoods and properties to help you decide on investments or a move to a new home. I work in real estate all day, every day so I can share with you my professional and personal experience regarding housing, demographics, local appreciation rates, and a myriad of other topics.
Secondly, I become your resource manager once you’ve looked at your options and made your decisions. You may need to get your home ready for sale. Perhaps you want to remodel a bath or kitchen and stay right where you are a few more years. Maybe you need a good loan officer who will help you compare the benefits of re-financing your current home and moving to a new place. Whether you need carpets cleaned, the roof fixed, a general contractor, or a new paint job - I have a team of proven service providers ready to help. I work with these folks frequently and, just like me, they focus their efforts on clients who are referred to them. This extends to the select team of lenders, escrow companies, and legal aid providers that I recommend. I work with people who know how to get the job done and done correctly.
When the time is right, I become your real estate broker. When you’ve made the decision to sell your home or to buy a new one, I become your broker and your advocate. I manage a process for you. You have enough to do making the decisions and managing the impact those decisions have on your life. I take care of the myriad of details and negotiations necessary to get you what you want. If you are buying a home, I'll see to it that you get to evaluate everything on the market that fits your wants and needs. If you are selling, I'll ensure that your home is marketed to the widest possible audience - using the latest in technology as well as the proven networks we've established through Group Estes Services and Windermere. If you're investing, you'll get the pricing and market analysis you need to make the right choices and access to the right professionals to make your job easier. Whatever the details, my job is to satisfy your goals
- On a personal note . . .
- I’ve been personally engaged with real estate, the computer industry, and with high-tech in general for 20+ years. I’ve personally bought and sold 8 homes in 5 different states in the Rockies, the deep South, and on both Coasts. I've dealt with everything from banks that lose records to closings delayed by Mother Nature to corporate relocations and impossible timelines. Through all of it – I’ve learned that getting the home of your dreams can be one of life's most rewarding decisions. I have the experience and the desire to make that dream a reality for my clients.
My formal education is in Mathematics. I still like to have fun with it and use it to benefit my clients. As you’ll see from some of my Newsletters, I try to provide some statistically based market analysis every month.
